We are thrilled to announce Jamie Daniels as the new Director of North East Youth for Christ Welcome to the team!

Jamie has grown up within Church in the North East and has always been involved in YFC events including Rock Solid (at School), 9th Hour and Harvest.  YFC has always played an integral part in his Christian walk, helping shape him for what God has called him to

Jamie has an amazing wife – Helen, a secondary school Art teacher.  Jamie & Helen met in Church where they are both part of the Pastoral leadership team.  They have two mad Labradors and are expecting their first child in February next year.  Jamie enjoys various sports and has played Hockey at a decent level, however recently slowed his sporting life down and taken up golf.  Jamie loves music and is a well-known local DJ.  Jamie’s primary work history was in senior leadership within the energy industry.

Having completed his degree in Theology, Ministry & Mission at Cranmer Hall, Durham University – Jamie is passionate about seeing the Gospel message reach young people in the region in a way that is life changing and instils them with passion for Jesus and a desire to grow in their relationship with him.

Since leaving University (as a mature-ish student) in 2016 Jamie has been actively involved in Church pastoral leadership at Hillsong Newcastle.  Jamie Pastors one of the services there and is a part of the preaching and teaching structure within the Church.  Jamie believes strongly in the local Church and that it is the best way to reach the lost with the Good News of Jesus.

His experience, both in business and in pastoral ministry and mission, means Jamie is uniquely qualified to help steer YFC North East as we move forward in “seeing young people’s lives changed by Jesus.”
